It is with a sense of excitement and great anticipation that the Prince Albert Catholic School Division (PACSD) and the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary announce that for the 2016-2017 school year, will be fully integrated into PACSD. The new school name will be and will be operated by the school division.
Our Catholic education community has been very fortunate to have the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary in our community since 1925. Many students have been graced with the faith based educational programming provided by the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary. The Prince Albert Catholic School Division is pleased to continue to build upon the legacy of the Sisters by assuming the operations of the school.
This is an exciting step for our students as this partnership will enable the continuation of the mission of Catholic Education so strongly exemplified by the Sisters witthin our educational community.
Anne Marie Rivier, after whom the school is named, is the foundress of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary. Her principal apostolic service was teaching youth, with special emphasis on the education of the faith. Our school recognizes each person as a gift of God with great potential. Our specific goal is to give not only a sound academic training but, a complete human and Christian formation which will empower the students to become contributing, responsible members of Church and Society.
