Principal's Message
Dear Parents,
Those who Hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on Wings with Eagles;
they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. (Isaiah 40:31)
Welcome to St. Michael Community School! Our gospel value for the year is HOPE. Being hopeful reminds us that with God there is no place for despair, no matter what life throws at us. There is not only a light at the end of the tunnel but, as the saying goes, “the future's so bright I gotta wear shades!” As a school, we will be setting goals to help us become beacons of hope for ourselves and others. This year we will be learning to bring hope to others by belonging, having empathy, being peaceful, respecting ourselves and others, caring and sharing, making good decisions, being responsible, and by being a leader.
We welcome all new students, families, and staff members as well as all those who are returning to our school community. We welcome a new vice-principal, Jennie Green and a new community school coordinator, Therese Gerow. They bring many gifts to share with our school community. We look forward to meeting you throughout the school year.
We hope that you have had a wonderful summer and we wish you all the best during the 2011 - 2012 school year. We are blessed to have such wonderful support from our St. Michael School community and parish.
